Dream for a Druid
Our topic this term is linked the Iron Age Celts. The pupils will be reading and writing their own myths and legends, creating letters and postcards linked to the Welsh story 'Gelert'. With a trip to St Fagans, they will be recounting what they did and what they saw. Using the internet and books, they will be researching life as a Celt, looking at where they lived, what they wore and battles they fought in. They will be creating timelines to see where the Iron Age period was. In PE, pupils will be taking part in street dancing and innovating dances to create their own. ICT will have a focus on coding and programming.
The first two weeks in September will be Roald Dahl fortnight. Year 3 will be studying a less well known story by Roald Dahl, 'The Minpins'.
