Year 6 at the Swansea 1940s Museum
Welcome to Year 6!
The hard work has already started in Year 6. We have been investigating 'World War Two' this term and we have already visited The 1940's Swansea War Museum where we discovered all about how WW2 affected Swansea and other surrounding areas in Wales. We also found out about 'The Great Escape' of Island Farm in Bridgend. We have been using Green Screen to make our own history channel and pupils have produced their own role-play interviews to develop their speaking and listening skills. The end of our topic will culminate in tea party and class presentation that all parents and carers will be welcome to attend. Watch this space for more information.
Children in Year 6 are expected to read their books at home everyday and bring them into school too. Please ensure that they have their books and reading records in school everyday.
This term, Year 6 will also be participating in Judo on Friday mornings. Please ensure that your child is provided with suitable kit.
