We loved our day at the Botanical Garden. We found out lots about bees and made a candle from wax. We saw lots of butterflies in the tropical house. We ended the day off with much fun in the park.
BEE FORTNIGHT - GET BUZZY!!!
For the next two weeks we are learning about bees and how they help provide us with the many foods we eat. We will become news reporters and report on the decline in bees. We are going to BEE BUSY!!!
Sleeping Beauty Ballet
A lovely way to spent Friday afternoon. The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and behaved exemplary. Well done!!
WELCOME TO YEAR 2
(MISS GRIFFITHS AND MRS EVANS)
We hope your child will settle back into school quickly and work hard as well as have lots of fun. This year we are aiming to increase your child’s independence in all areas in preparation for Key Stage 2.
HELPFUL CLASS INFORMATION:
Out topic this term is called REMEMBER REMEMBER. It's all about fire safety, bonfire night and the Great Fire of London. We will hopefully be visiting the fire station to find out about the amazing job that the firefighters do. We are also aiming to try to get a professional dancer in to create a dance linked to the Great Fire of London (fingers crossed)!
ROALD DAHL CELEBRATIONS:
Over the next two weeks from 11th - 22nd September, we are celebrating Roald Dahls work. The children are exploring the Enormous Crocodile and will be writing instructions and a letter based on this. They will also be taking part in a treasure hunt too. Lots of exciting activities planned. There will be a dressing up day too so watch out for the date!!
Have you seen the Kids' Zone? Play games, and visit some cool websites. You can vote for your favourites!
Our topic is LAND AHOY! It's all about pirates and keeping safe at the beach. We are going to be listening to pirate stories and be writing our own based upon these. We have booked to go to Swansea Maritime Museum to meet Barti Ddu - Welsh Pirate!
What an amazing turnout! Thanks for joining us. The children loved celebrating their learning journeys with you. They worked hard at producing their assembly. All were very brave to stand up in front of such a big audience.
