Croeso i Blwyddyn 6!
Welcome to the second half of Spring term!
Dear pupils and parents
Please support your child with their homework. As Year 6 pupils prepare to transition to Year 7, it is a good idea to train your child to regularly do homework at home, daily if possible.
There are set tasks that can be completed at home and a number of online resources which have work assigned to individual pupils.
Please complete your Mathletics homework:
Pupils have bespoke tasks set for them that can be marked by me. The tasks are assigned at a suitable level of difficulty and are relevant to the topics we have been working on in school.
Please also have a go at completing the Reasoning practice tasks on the Hwb website, these can be found on:
You don't need to be logged in to hwb to access this resource.
Read your set Literacy texts and complete the Higher Order Thinking Skills and Reading Comprehension Test questions on:
The texts and questions are assigned at a suitable level of difficulty and can be viewed by me.
In addition to Giglets, every pupil should be reading their home reading book regularly each day at home and recording their reading in their reading record.
Topic related homework for Easter 2020:
Chronicles of Narnia
Lest We Forget
World War Two
Find out about what it was like to live through the blitz. So far we have been learning what it was like to be an evacuee. No try to imagine being having to live each day in a city that was being bombed in the Blitz. Watch the video clip from the BBC
Watch the video clip from the BBC and look at the Swansea Museum pages
Be creative and inventive!
Please make sure your child is making the most of the online resources we provide and that they complete learning tasks allocated to them at home. Ask your child to show you what they have been accessing and learning in school and at home.
